Healthcare United is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon to join a well established surgical team in Northwestern Illinois. This role offers a broad based case mix including abdominal breast and endocrine procedures with access to advanced surgical technology. Physicians will practice in a collaborative environment with strong clinical support and consistent case volume. This opportunity provides excellent work life balance with a manageable call schedule
Job Responsibilities
• Utilize laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques
• Option to incorporate robotic surgery into practice
• Provide surgical consultations and manage preoperative and postoperative care
• Collaborate with surgeons advanced practice providers and clinical staff
• Participate in call rotation and support limited trauma cases
• Option to perform endoscopic procedures if desired
Qualifications
• Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain
• Strong laparoscopic surgical skills required
• Robotics experience or interest preferred
• Interest in breast or non cardiac thoracic procedures a plus
• Ability to work in a team oriented surgical environment
Working Hours
• Mix of surgical and clinic responsibilities
• Call schedule approximately one in four
• Balanced workload supporting work life integration
