What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Extensive experience in open heart surgery and thoracic procedures
- Proven ability to perform complex surgeries with precision and confidence
- Strong understanding of current surgical techniques, safety protocols, and patient care standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure in emergency situations
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in trauma or emergency settings
- Familiarity with advanced perioperative management techniques
- Certification in specialized cardiothoracic surgery procedures or relevant fellowships
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-residency clinical experience in thoracic surgery
Other Requirements:
- Current medical license and board certification
- Availability for open call and emergency coverage, including ER trauma call responsibilities
- Flexibility to cover open dates starting urgently after 04/6/2026
- Ability to travel as necessary; reimbursement for travel and licensure provided
