Client in Vermont looking for a General Surgeon to work Monday-Friday beginning in June.
Job Responsibilities
Schedule M-F, 8a-5p
Call ratio: 1:4
Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: 1-3
Trauma Level/Designation: Level 3
Annual ER Volume:
Documentation System/EMR: Cerner
Number of Operating Rooms: 3 + Procedure Room
Number of General Surgeons in Practice: 2 + new clinician being hired
Description of OR Staff: CRNA, Full compliment of scrub techs and circulating nurses
Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric
Procedures Required:
General Surgical Cases, Chest Wall/Pleural Procedures, Chest Tube Insertion,
Vascular Surgery Abdominal
Laparoscopic Surgery Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty
GI Endoscopy Upper, Lower, Colonoscopy
Additional Procedures for Physicians Trained as Pediatric Surgeons
Umbilical Defects - Omphalocele, Hernia, Imperforate Anus
Qualifications
• Must complete residency in General Surgery Residency Program - [REQUIRED] * no exemptions
• MD or DO Degree from an accredited medical school – [REQUIRED]
• Active Vermont Medical License– [REQUIRED] accepting IMLC eligible candidates
• PROVIDER MUST HAVE FULL TIME AVAILABILITY - [REQUIRED]
• DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - [REQUIRED] * no exemptions
• CPR for Healthcare Providers – [REQUIRED]
• Proficiency in surgical techniques and procedures – [REQUIRED]
• Clean Malpractice History and Background - [REQUIRED]
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) - [REQUIRED] * no exemption, required at presentation
