Locums | Plastic Surgery | 24-Hour Trauma Call | Lansing, MI Why This Role

  • Level I trauma center with consistent trauma call coverage
  • Opportunity to provide specialized hand and plastic surgery trauma care
  • Ongoing coverage with high-volume emergency department support
Assignment Details Start date ASAP Coverage needed through December 2026 Approximately 19 days of 24-hour trauma call per month 24-hour call shifts from 7:00am to 7:00am Credentialing timeframe ASAP Clinical Details Level I trauma center with approximately 90,000 annual ER visits Primary responsibilities include trauma call and hand coverage Average surgical volume approximately 1 case per month, increasing to 3 per month during summer Patient population ages 15 and older Procedures include traumatic hand reconstruction, facial laceration repair, scar revisions, skin grafts, flap procedures, and minor burn care Trauma clinic support available weekly Requirements Board Certified Plastic Surgery (must be boarded within 5 years of training) Active Michigan license required BLS and ACLS highly preferred Recent Self-Query NPDB report required at presentation Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
