Job Title: Locum Physician - Plastic Surgery
Join a dynamic team at a state-of-the-art facility located in Lansing, Michigan. This 24-hour trauma call coverage position is ideal for a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon ready to make a difference in a community requiring dedicated care. The facility operates as an ACS Verified Level One Trauma Center and is committed to providing exceptional service to patients aged 15 years and older. The demand is driven by insufficient local hand coverage, ensuring that you will have a fulfilling career while making a positive impact.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour trauma call coverage approximately 19 days per month.
- Respond in-person for procedures as required.
- Engage with patients through the Trauma Clinic on Tuesdays from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
- Perform hand-related procedures, traumatic hand reconstructions, and general plastic surgery procedures.
- Conduct facial laceration repairs, scar revisions, skin grafts, and minor burn care.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Plastic Surgery (must be boarded within 5 years of training).
- Active Michigan medical license (full license required; no compact or IMLC).
- BLS and ACLS certifications are highly preferred.
- Self-Query NPDB (must be pulled within the month at the time of presentation).
License and Certification Requirements:
