We are seeking a skilled Neurosurgeon to join a collaborative surgical team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing acute neurosurgical cases presenting through the Emergency Department or transfer center. The position focuses on providing consultative services for inpatients, with involvement in some trauma cases, and performing necessary operations in collaboration with experienced ED physicians, hospitalists, and a well-supported ICU team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide neurosurgical consultation for inpatients and acute admissions
  • Manage trauma and urgent neurosurgical cases as needed
  • Perform surgical procedures in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining patient safety
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Participate in operational and clinical decision-making to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neurosurgery
  • Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to high patient satisfaction
  • Proven record of clinical excellence and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment

Schedule & Workload

  • Predictable work schedule: 2 weeks per month / 26 weeks per year
  • 183 days annually qualifies as full-time
  • Opportunity to perform both elective and emergency procedures

Compensation & Benefits

  • $2500 Per day with potential for 60% of collections for elective procedures
