📍 Position Overview

🩺 Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings
• Perform a wide range of general surgery procedures, including:
  • Hernia repair
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Endoscopy
  • Appendectomy
  • Small bowel obstruction management
  • Colorectal procedures
  • Skin and soft tissue surgeries
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic wounds within a multidisciplinary wound clinic
• Deliver accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on procedures, risks, and post-op care
• Review and act on diagnostic test results
• Provide surgical input for palliative care and pain management when needed
• Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing professional development

• Anesthesiologists and CRNAs
• Physician Assistants
• Perioperative and peri-anesthesia teams
• Emergency Department clinicians
• Hospitalists
• Wound care specialists

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Completion of accredited General Surgery residency
• MD or DO from accredited medical school
• Active Vermont medical license
• DEA required prior to start
