Job Title: Locum - Physician - Surgery - General

Summary:

Join the dedicated team at a well-respected acute care facility located in Pendleton, Oregon. This position offers a unique opportunity for a general surgeon to provide expert care in both a clinic and hospital setting. The selected candidate will attend to scheduled clinic patients Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., provide 24-hour on-call coverage, and deliver post-operative care, consultations, and emergency surgery. Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate in the operating room and perform surgical procedures.
  • Manage scheduled clinic patients and provide follow-up care.
  • Provide comprehensive 24-hour on-call coverage.
  • Respond to trauma cases in the emergency department.
  • Perform required procedures including diagnostic and screening colonoscopies, cholecystectomies, and hernia repairs.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Document patient information using electronic medical records (EMR).

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in General Surgery.
  • Active Oregon State License (or in process).
  • Completion of an accredited residency program.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications.
  • Clean malpractice history preferred.
  • Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of application required.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Board Certification (Required).
  • State License – Oregon (Required; process in progress accepted).
  • Completion of Residency Requirements/Fellowship (Required).
  • ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications (Required).
  • Malpractice Clean (Highly Preferred).
