We are seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgery Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Mason City, Iowa. This position offers a consistent weekday clinic schedule combined with trauma and orthopedic call coverage at a Level III Trauma Center.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-Call: Yes
- 24-hour call coverage
- Call overage included
- Follow-up clinic visits for patients seen while on call
- Weekend Requirements: N/A (unless assigned during call rotation)
Clinical & Surgical Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive orthopedic clinical care in an outpatient setting
- Perform orthopedic surgical procedures
- Manage trauma and orthopedic call coverage
- Inpatient
responsibilities including:
- Rounding on post-operative patients
- Inpatient and ED consults
- Surgical cases in the OR
Facility Details:
- Trauma Level: III
Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC
