Job Opportunity: Staff Orthopedic Surgeon in Brattleboro, VT

Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and evaluate orthopedic conditions through physical examinations and diagnostic imaging.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using both surgical and non-surgical methods.
  • Perform a wide array of orthopedic surgical procedures including joint replacements and fracture repairs.
  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for improved patient care.
  • Participate in rotating on-call coverage for the orthopedic service.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
  • Stay updated with advancements in orthopedic surgery and evidence-based practices.
  • Engage in professional development activities, conferences, and workshops.
  • Adhere to ethical and regulatory standards of patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery is required.
  • Proficiency in orthopedic surgical techniques and familiarity with latest advancements.
  • Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Valid Vermont medical license to practice as an orthopedic surgeon.
  • CPR certification for healthcare providers (must be obtained prior to start).
  • DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
  • Clean malpractice history.
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
