Job Title: Locum Physician - Orthopedic Surgery

Join our esteemed facility in Paducah, Kentucky, where we are in search of an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to provide essential backfill for surgery and hospital call. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a supportive environment that prioritizes patient care across a diverse demographic, including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Our facility utilizes the EPIC EMR system, ensuring a seamless workflow and coordination of care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform hip nailing procedures and other orthopedic surgical cases.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage, operating from 7 AM to 7 AM.
• Manage patient care through various orthopedic procedures including treatment of fractures, hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, spinal surgeries, and arthroscopies.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Participate in trauma care and surgical management.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Orthopedics (Required)
• Active Kentucky Medical License (IMLC acceptable) (Required)
• Active DEA Registration (Required)
• General surgical and non-surgical orthopedic procedures experience (Required)
• Experience in hip/knee replacement procedures (Required)
• Experience in arthroscopy (Required)
• Clean background (Required)
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (Required)
• Orthopedic Fellowship (Preferred)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• COVID Vaccination (Preferred)

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active Kentucky Medical License
• Active DEA Registration
• BLS Certification
