Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Neurosurgery
- Valid medical license to practice in Michigan
- Proven experience in adult neurosurgical procedures and trauma management
- Ability to handle emergency and critical care cases including brain bleed management, spine surgeries, and stress monitoring
- Strong knowledge of hospital-based practice standards and EMR systems, preferably Epic
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in Level 2 trauma centers
- Prior locum or temporary coverage experience
- Additional certifications in trauma or critical care
- Familiarity with rapid credentialing processes
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of neurosurgery residency and board certification
- Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical practice in neurosurgery with trauma focus
Other Requirements:
- Availability for a schedule spanning Friday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM (including 24-hour call coverage)
- Credentialing ability within 90-120 days
- Willingness to travel with all flights, accommodations, and rental car expenses reimbursed
- Compliance with all hospital, state, and federal medical standards
