Neurological Surgery

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced providers to work on complex spine cases, with a flexible schedule spanning multiple dates throughout the year. Your expertise will support both clinic and emergency call responsibilities, ensuring patients receive timely and specialized care in a high-volume environment. Required Skills:
  • Active California Medical License and CA DEA registration
  • Fluoro certification (temporary certification accepted)
  • Board Certified or within 3-5 years of residency eligibility for certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in neurosurgery
  • At least 100 cases in the past 24 months relevant to privileges
  • Ability to work 8-hour days with overtime after 9 hours
  • Availability to cover scheduled dates, including clinic, day, night, and weekend call
  • Excellent clinical judgment and patient management skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with complex spine cases
  • Prior success in high-volume surgical settings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Additional certifications related to neurosurgery or trauma

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Active clinical practice in neurosurgery within the last 2 years
  • Knowledge of hospital privileging and credentialing processes

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work scheduled dates listed, with the possibility of additional opportunities
  • Compliance with hospital privileging procedures (typical timeline 90 days)
  • Submission of current case logs and relevant documentation during privileging process
  • Be prepared to handle both clinic duties during the day and emergency call responsibilities, including overnight and weekend call coverage
  • Travel and licensure reimbursements as applicable
