We are seeking a Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician to provide coverage at a full-service acute care hospital in Springfield, Ohio. This opportunity offers a broad adult cardiothoracic and vascular case mix in a hospital-based setting with strong clinical support.
Position Details
- Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour shifts)
- Weekend Coverage: Yes
- On-Call Requirements: Yes
- Practice Setting: Full-service acute care hospital
- Patient Population: Adult (100%)
- Coverage Type: Hospital-based (100%)
- Physician Staffing: 1 Cardiothoracic Surgeon
- APP Support: 2 Mid-level Providers
- Hospital Size: 250 beds
- ICU Beds: 60
- Onsite Services: Lab and X-ray
- EMR: Epic
Required Procedures
- General cardiothoracic and vascular surgery
- Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
- Repair of congenital defects
- Valvular repair and replacement
- Aneurysm repair
- Lung resection, including VATS
- Chest wall and pleural procedures
- Esophageal and diaphragm surgeries
- Carotid and renal endarterectomy
- Ventilation management
- Bronchoscopy
- Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active Ohio medical license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
