We are seeking a highly qualified Surgery Cardiovascular Physician to join our team, providing expert care for complex cardiac and vascular cases. This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $2,500.88, along with comprehensive benefits, a supportive team environment, and the chance to work on high-stakes, routine, and specialized surgical procedures. Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in cardiothoracic and vascular procedures
  • Valid Minnesota medical license or IMLC certification
  • Experience with CABG, valve repair/replacement, carotid endarterectomy, congenital heart surgeries, and minimally invasive heart surgeries
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and steady decision-making
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours on a 5x10-hour shift schedule (07:00 – 17:00)

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with TAVR, lead extractions, and structural heart procedures
  • Familiarity with robotic and minimally invasive surgeries
  • Prior trauma or emergency surgical experience
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Prior experience in a Level II Trauma Center
  • At least 3 years of specialized cardiovascular surgical experience
  • Certification in vascular surgery or related specialties is advantageous

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to participate in call rotations, including overnight and weekend shifts
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts from March through May, with potential for additional coverage
  • Commitment to maintaining complete and current documentation for licensure and certification
  • Flexibility to accommodate shifts starting as early as March 16, 2026, with future scheduled committee meetings
