LECOM Health is seeking an experienced General Surgeon to join its growing surgical team in Erie, Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity to practice within a collaborative, physician-supported environment while contributing to a forward-thinking health system.
LECOM Health is the nation’s only Osteopathic Academic Health Center, with a strong teaching mission and modern facilities. The General Surgeon will practice across LECOM Medical Center, Corry Memorial Hospital, and a brand-new Ambulatory Surgery Center, supported by a close-knit team of surgeons and experienced staff. Please note: robotics are not offered at this time.
Job Responsibilities
Perform inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures
Operate across LECOM Medical Center, Corry Memorial Hospital, and a brand-new Ambulatory Surgery Center
Collaborate with a small, supportive team of general surgeons and clinical staff
Participate in the continued growth of the Surgical Services program
Support LECOM’s mission of education, clinical excellence, and community service
Qualifications
Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure
Working Hours
Daytime surgical schedule
Call schedule shared within the group
Balanced schedule designed to support work-life balance
Skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
Comfort practicing in a teaching hospital setting
