Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity in Springfield, OH
Join a Full-Service Acute Care Hospital!
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon for call coverage at a high-quality medical facility located in Springfield, Ohio. The Springfield Regional Medical Center features a robust 250-bed capacity, including 60 ICU beds, and offers an onsite lab and x-ray. With a dedicated team of physicians and mid-levels, you'll be an integral part of a community-focused healthcare environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide surgical care for adult patients requiring cardiovascular, thoracic, or vascular procedures.
- Perform the following required procedures:
- General CV/Thoracic/Vascular Surgeries
- Coronary artery bypass surgery
- Correction of congenital defects
- Valvular repair/replacements
- Aneurysm repair
- Lung resection (including VATs)
- Chest wall/pleural procedures
- Esophagus/diaphragm surgeries
- Endarterectomy (Carotid & Renal)
- Ventilation management
- Bronchoscopy
- Evaluation & management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
- Participate in shared call and weekend coverage as needed.
- Utilize the EPIC documentation system for maintaining accurate patient records.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Active Ohio state medical license.
- Clean professional record.
- COVID-19 vaccination required.
- Ability to cover specified dates as outlined.
- Submit a Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days of presentation).
License and Certification Requirements:
