New Orthopedic Surgery Call Coverage Locums Job in Georgia
Details/Requirements for Assignment #112964:
- Active Georgia license and Board Certification required
- Coverage: 5-7 days of call per month starting in February
- No clinic, will cover call only. Will round, consult and operate as needed.
- Advanced Practice Providers receive the initial call and serve as first point of contact. They work closely with the surgeons to consult, round and prep for surgery if needed.
- 70 bed hospital
-Will see a case mix of: bipolar hip arthroplasties, trochanteric nail procedures, fracture management, incision and drainage procedures, occasional foreign body removals, and hip pinning cases. Fracture cases encompass all types of extremity fractures. Hip procedures are not typically performed overnight and are generally scheduled for the following day. Fracture cases are rarely performed at night unless the fracture is open or otherwise clinically urgent.
