Locum - Surgery: Cardiothoracic - MD/DO

Job Opportunity: Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Hartford, CT

Join a prestigious hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, for a full-time locum Cardiothoracic Surgery position. This role offers a 3-6 month assignment with potential for extension into 2026. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cardiovascular surgeries including but not limited to CABG, valve repair/replacement, and thoracic aortic aneurysms.
• Provide patient care in both the Operating Room and ICU.
• Conduct rounds for patients in the Emergency Room and inpatient floors.
• Participate in a call schedule of approximately 7-8 calls per month.
• Document patient interactions and procedures using the EPIC EMR system.
• Collaborate with a full complement of ancillary staff in a Level One trauma center.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Active Connecticut medical license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in performing required surgical procedures.
• Local provider preferred (mileage reimbursement available).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current and active BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Active Connecticut medical license is mandatory.
