Job Title: Orthopedic Surgeon - Locum Position
Summary: Join a Level II Trauma center located in Tacoma, WA, where you will be a vital part of a dedicated team at a well-respected hospital. This position offers the opportunity to cover essential orthopedic surgery services, including emergency care and outpatient clinic duties. We are looking for one Orthopedic Surgeon to provide coverage for two weeks per month, with a commitment of 6 to 9 months. Candidates should have trauma experience and a commitment to patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 coverage for the Emergency Room with dedicated Physician Assistant support.
- Conduct outpatient clinic sessions three days a week, providing consultations and follow-up care.
- Perform a full spectrum of orthopedic procedures excluding complex pelvic issues.
- Collaborate with hospital support teams and Medical Assistants in the outpatient clinic.
- Ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital protocols.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery [REQUIRED]
- Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery [REQUIRED]
- 5 years of Level II experience [REQUIRED]
- State License in Washington [HIGHLY PREFERRED] or IMLC with LOQ in hand
- Additional certifications in BLS and DEA [REQUIRED] - candidates willing to obtain post-offer may be considered
- Clean malpractice history [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Valid State License in WA or IMLC with LOQ
- Current BLS and DEA certifications
