Description
Exciting locum orthopedic surgery opportunity at a busy Level II trauma center. Ideal for experienced orthopedic surgeons seeking high-acuity trauma exposure, consistent coverage (up to 2 weeks/month), and strong PA and hospital support.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide 24/7 ER orthopedic trauma coverage
• Manage a wide range of orthopedic trauma cases (excluding complex pelvic cases)
• Perform operative and non-operative orthopedic procedures
• Participate in limited outpatient clinic coverage (mornings)
• Collaborate closely with dedicated PA support and hospital staff
• Document care using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
• Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon – Required
• Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship – Required
• 5+ years Level II trauma experience – Required
• Active WA license or IMLC with LOQ – Preferred
• BLS & DEA – Required (or willing to obtain)
• Clean malpractice history – Preferred
Working Hours
• 24-hour on-call coverage
• Up to 2 weeks per month
• Coverage duration: 6–9 months
