Locum Thoracic Physician Opportunity in Richmond, VA

Join a respected hospital facility in Richmond, Virginia, as a Locum Thoracic Physician. The facility, located on Bremo Road, features 21 operating rooms and offers comprehensive support with an emphasis on adult and geriatric patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform various thoracic procedures including Bronchoscopy, Robot-Assisted Thoracic Surgery, and Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS).
• Provide care for patients with complex thoracic conditions such as lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and mediastinal masses.
• Collaborate with ancillary staff including OR support, ICU support, and hospitalists.
• Participate in the on-call schedule as needed.
• Engage in documentation through the EPIC EMR system.
• Support and manage post-operative care and follow-up with patients.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery.
• Active Virginia medical license without exceptions.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Provider must be local; reimbursement is available for mileage only.
• Must submit a flat rate for 24-hour coverage that includes all gratis hours.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Virginia license (required).
• Board Certification in Thoracic Surgery (required).
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
