Locum Thoracic Physician Opportunity in Richmond, VA
Join a respected hospital facility in Richmond, Virginia, as a Locum Thoracic Physician. The facility, located on Bremo Road, features 21 operating rooms and offers comprehensive support with an emphasis on adult and geriatric patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform various thoracic procedures including Bronchoscopy, Robot-Assisted Thoracic Surgery, and Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS).
- Provide care for patients with complex thoracic conditions such as lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and mediastinal masses.
- Collaborate with ancillary staff including OR support, ICU support, and hospitalists.
- Participate in the on-call schedule as needed.
- Engage in documentation through the EPIC EMR system.
- Support and manage post-operative care and follow-up with patients.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery.
- Active Virginia medical license without exceptions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Provider must be local; reimbursement is available for mileage only.
- Must submit a flat rate for 24-hour coverage that includes all gratis hours.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Virginia license (required).
- Board Certification in Thoracic Surgery (required).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
