Locums | General Surgeon | 24-Hr Call | Grayling, MI Why This Role

  • Provide essential surgical call coverage in a well-supported hospital environment serving a full-spectrum patient population.
  • Enjoy flexible 24-hour call shifts with a light daily caseload and support from an experienced OR team.
  • Work in a modern facility with Cerner EMR and three fully equipped operating rooms.
Assignment Details Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call Setting: Hospital-based Start Date: November 27, 2025 End Date: November 30, 2025 Schedule: 24-hour call (7a–7a) Average Surgical Volume: 1–2 cases per day ORs: 3 Team: 2 general surgeons in practice Patient Demographic: All ages (pediatric through geriatric) EMR: Cerner Reason for Need: Short-term holiday coverage Clinical Details Perform general surgical procedures across adult, trauma, and pediatric cases. Provide emergency and inpatient surgical consultations as needed during 24-hour call. Coordinate care within multidisciplinary teams for efficient patient management. Requirements Board Certified in General Surgery Active Michigan medical license ACLS certification COVID-19 vaccination Recent general surgery experience (within past 2 years) Availability for all listed dates (Nov 27–30, 2025) Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Included Travel: Reimbursed
