Schedule: 1–2 weeks per month, every other weekend
Availability: Must be available to work the week of Christmas
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced General Surgeon to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage and support our facility’s 24/7 surgical service in order to maintain trauma designation. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated surgeon who thrives in a collaborative environment and values continuity of care.
Responsibilities & Case Types
The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing a broad range of general surgery procedures, including:
Gallbladder/Biliary Disease management
Hernia Repairs (inguinal, ventral, umbilical, etc.)
Gastrointestinal Disorders: upper GI evaluations, biopsies, and acute care treatments
Skin/Soft Tissue: excision of lesions, cysts, masses, and lipomas
Vascular Access Procedures: placement of subcutaneous ports for drug delivery
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Must be able to provide coverage the week of Christmas
Availability for 1–2 weeks per month, including every other weekend
Prior trauma or acute care surgery experience preferred
