The position involves 24-hour call coverage over a four-day period, supporting surgical needs across all age groups. This short-term assignment offers a well-supported environment and full travel reimbursement.

Coverage Dates: November 27–30, 2025
Schedule: 24-hour call (07:00 a.m. – 07:00 a.m.)
Setting: Hospital-based
Reason for Coverage: Gap in surgical coverage

Job Details / Responsibilities

Average Surgical Cases per Day: 1–2
Patient Population: All ages (pediatric through geriatric)
Number of Operating Rooms: 3
General Surgeons in Practice: 2
Procedures: General surgical cases, including adult, trauma, and pediatric surgery
Documentation System / EMR: Cerner

Required Skills & Qualifications

Board Certification: General Surgery (REQUIRED)
Licensure: Active Michigan medical license (REQUIRED at submission)
Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Experience: Recent general surgery experience within the last 2 years (REQUIRED)
Other Requirements: COVID-19 vaccination (REQUIRED at name clear)
