Seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon for a locum 24-hour call coverage opportunity in Grayling, Michigan. Enjoy a short-term assignment over Thanksgiving weekend at a well-equipped community hospital serving northern Michigan.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide 24-hour on-call surgical coverage (7 AM – 7 AM)
• Manage general surgical, trauma, and select pediatric cases
• Perform emergency and inpatient surgical procedures
• Ensure accurate documentation within Cerner EMR
Qualifications
• Board Certified in General Surgery (REQUIRED)
• Active Michigan License (REQUIRED)
• ACLS Certified
• Experience in general surgery within last 2 years
• COVID vaccination required
Working Hours
• 24-hour call shifts | November 27–30, 2025
Skills
• Broad surgical expertise (adult, trauma, pediatric)
• Strong decision-making and emergency response skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
