Location: Beautiful Montana (Critical Access Hospital)
Type: Locum Tenens | 24-hour Call Coverage
Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Board-Certified General Surgeon for a locum tenens opportunity in Montana. This is a high-paying short-term assignment providing 24-hour call coverage at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (Level IV Trauma Center).
You’ll be supported by a strong clinical team and enjoy working in a collaborative, rural healthcare environment while serving a community that truly values its physicians.
Key Details
Dates: December 18, 2025 – January 1, 2026
Schedule: 24-hour call; must remain within 20 minutes of the hospital
Setting: Critical Access Hospital
Cases: Bread-and-butter general surgery (including laparoscopic)
Facilities: 3 OR suites, 1 endoscopy suite, CRNA support
Support: Full-service radiology (CT, MRI, U/S), lab, and therapy services
Requirements
Board Certified in General Surgery
Active Montana license or eligible through IMLC
Comfortable working independently as the sole surgeon
Available for full coverage during assignment dates
