✈️ High-Pay Locum General Surgeon – $2,100/24 hr + Travel & Lodging Covered! (MF)

We’re seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon to join a trusted hospital-based team in Paducah, KY, providing 24-hour call coverage at a competitive rate of $2,100 per day. This position offers a rewarding balance of meaningful work and flexibility—with comprehensive malpractice coverage, complimentary travel and lodging, and the potential for ongoing monthly assignments starting in 2026.

📅 Coverage Dates:

• November 8–16

• November 24–28

• December 8–14

• December 22–28
  (Ongoing need: approximately one week per month beginning January 2026)

🏥 Position Details:

• Setting: Hospital-based coverage only

• Schedule: 24-hour EMTALA call shifts (7am–7am)

• Average Volume: 1–3 surgical cases/day and 2–4 consults/day

• EMR: EPIC

• Operating Rooms: 12 well-equipped suites

• Support Team: Experienced CSTs, RNFAs, and First Assists

• Patient Population: Pediatric to geriatric (limited peds as needed)

• Robotics: Available for certified surgeons

• Credentialing: Temporary privileges available for urgent needs

🧠 Required Skills & Procedures:

• General adult and minor trauma surgery

• Central line and chest tube insertions

• Vascular access devices

• Cholecystectomy

• Hernioplasty

• Colon and small bowel procedures

✅ Requirements:

• Board Certified (ABoS)

• Active Kentucky License

• COVID Vaccination – Highly preferred

• Clean background – Highly preferred
