Job Duties
The Department of General Surgery at Geisinger, a national leader in quality, innovation, research and education, is seeking a BC/BE Breast Surgeon at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania
Comprehensive Breast Health Program:
- Onsite radiologists, pathologists, breast and plastic surgeons, psychologists, geneticists, nurse navigators, and a high-risk clinic
- ACR-accredited Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
- Blocked OR and clinic time
- Advanced Imaging Technology:
- 3D HD screening and diagnostic mammography
- Multimodality breast interventions including upright tomographic, ultrasound, and MRI-guided biopsies
- Fully integrated electronic health record (Epic)
- Academic & Research Opportunities:
- Opportunity to teach our residents and medical school students
- Participate in clinical trials and other research initiative
