Position Overview
A community-focused, Joint Commission–accredited hospital in south central Illinois is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join an established surgical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice broad-based general surgery in a supportive environment, serving a diverse patient population in a close-knit community just outside the St. Louis metro area.

Practice Highlights

  • Join an experienced General Surgeon in a busy practice

  • Bread-and-butter procedures with additional opportunities for scopes, breast surgery, wound care, and bariatrics

  • Optional half-day per week in a wound care clinic

  • No robotics; flexible OR schedule with no overnight OR runs

  • 3 operating rooms with full CRNA coverage

  • Hospitalist program in place for inpatient support

  • 25+ referring providers and strong community ties

  • J1 & H1B candidates welcome

Hospital Services
In addition to surgery, the hospital provides inpatient services in orthopedics, urology, internal medicine, and cardiology. Diagnostic and imaging services include CT, CTA, MRI, nuclear medicine, mammography, and SPECT scans.
