SCHEDULE :

• Dec 24(7a)-1/2(7a)/ 24 hour 7a-7a - it is not likely they will need ongoing coverage. They have a new physician starting after the new year.

• Setting: Hospital round and call

JOB DESCRIPTION :

• Required Procedures: Gallbladder, Hernia's, Colorectal and surgical oncology, endocrine surgery, endoscopy surgery, and numerous minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures.

• Patients per Day: 40

• Support Staff: 3 APP's

Additional Questions:

• Is endoscopy required? Both upper and lower? YES

• Is laparoscopy required? Yes

• Is any vascular required? Yes- 30% traumas are penetrating, sometimes requiring vascular repairs.

• Annual ER admissions? over 40K

• What level trauma center is the hospital? LEVEL II

• What are the most common cases the locum will see? Random-A lot of abdominal and colorectal procedures/traumas-Same as above on other procedures

• Average number of calls per night: 10-20 on average. Mostly for peds patients, we will handle Lap Appy's and traumas will get shipped to Children's because we don't have the peds support on it.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS :

• **STRICTLY All details must be notated during name clears. If they are not included in the submission notes/details, the request will automatically be redirected.**

• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible - REQUIRED

• AR or non licensed candidate(must apply for license once offer is accepted) - REQUIRED

• ACLS and BLS - REQUIRED

• Malpractice- Clean preferred

• Availability at time of name clear - REQUIRED

Credentialing Information:

Timeframe: about 2 weeks

Requirements: MD, BC or BE General Surgery
