- Seeking a General Surgeon to provide holiday coverage with hospital rounding and 24-hour call responsibilities.
- Candidate must be able to perform a wide range of general surgical procedures, including trauma-related cases, and support patient care in a high-volume hospital environment.
Job Responsibilities
Perform procedures including gallbladder, hernia, colorectal, surgical oncology, endocrine surgery, endoscopy, and laparoscopic surgeries.
Manage vascular cases as needed, particularly in trauma situations.
Collaborate with support staff, including APPs, for patient management.
Ensure accurate documentation within EPIC EMR.
Qualifications
Active Arkansas medical license (or willing to apply upon offer).
ACLS and BLS certifications required.
Clean malpractice preferred.
Availability to cover full schedule listed.
Working Hours
Skills
Strong ability to manage trauma, colorectal, and vascular cases.
Endoscopic (upper and lower) surgery skills required.
Excellent decision-making in high-pressure situations.
Effective collaboration with APPs and hospital staff.
