General Surgeon – Locum Tenens (Call Coverage)
Location: Rocky Mount, NC
Start Date: September 1, 2025 (or sooner)
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: Call coverage only – Thursdays 5:00 PM through Mondays 7:00 AM
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (Not Level I or II Trauma)
Assignment Overview:

Call-Only Role: No scheduled cases, just be on-call for emergency general surgery

Support: Emergency department with 4 trauma bays; non-trauma designated center

Facility Size: 395-bed hospital

Practice Setting: Inpatient/Hospital-based

Procedures/Skills Required: General surgery emergencies; details TBD with facility
Requirements:

Board Certification: Required in General Surgery

Licensure: Active North Carolina license REQUIRED – no exceptions

Certifications: BLS and ACLS required, DEA required

Experience: Clean background and prior call coverage experience preferred
