VHS is seeking a qualified and motivated Neurosurgeon to join our team on a full-time basis in Dothan, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity to provide specialized neurological care within a supportive and technologically advanced environment.
Position Summary:
The Neurosurgeon will be responsible for delivering comprehensive neurosurgical services to patients at a single hospital, with a focus on patient care, surgical excellence, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves managing a diverse spectrum of neurosurgical cases, working closely with hospital staff, and utilizing advanced imaging and surgical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of neurosurgical procedures with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.
- Collaborate with neurology, radiology, intensive care, and other specialty teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Participate in patient consultations, preoperative assessments, and postoperative care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to hospital protocols and standards.
- Provide on-call coverage as scheduled to ensure continuous patient care.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a neurosurgery residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility in neurosurgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in Alabama.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care and professionalism.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
