Locum - Surgery: General - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum - Physician - Surgery - General

Join our dynamic healthcare team in the vibrant city of Dickinson, North Dakota! We are seeking a dedicated Locum Physician for General Surgery to provide essential call coverage. This role offers flexibility, allowing for 10 days of call per month starting September 2025. Work in a supportive environment with a Trauma Level IV facility that has a bed count of 25.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide 10 days of call coverage per month.
• Offer phone consultations, admissions, and rounding on General Surgery patients.
• Engage in scheduled surgeries Monday through Friday.
• Respond to calls promptly within a 20-minute window.
• Perform required surgical procedures including abdominal surgery, endoscopy, and laparoscopic techniques.
• Collaborate with the anesthesia coverage provided by a CRNA group.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3 years of US residency training).
• Must hold an active ACLS and North Dakota DEA.
• In process of obtaining full IMLC or currently holds full IMLC preferred.
• Clean professional history; no active monitoring agreements, revoked licenses, or privileges.
• Strong surgical skills in relevant procedures, with preferred experience in pediatrics and thyroid surgeries.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must possess a valid medical license in North Dakota.
• ACLS certification is mandatory.
• DEA registration required.
