In this position, you will provide essential orthopedic surgical care in a clinical and surgical setting, ensuring continuity of care for patients in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with a supportive team, including medical assistants, nurses, and administrative staff, to deliver patient-focused services while managing diverse orthopedic cases. The assignment duration is typically 3 to 6 months, with flexible scheduling options including varied shifts from Monday to Friday and call duties, allowing you to maintain an optimal work-life balance.

Required Skills:
  • Valid medical license in Arizona or ability to obtain licensure
  • Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Proven experience in general orthopedic procedures
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior locum or outpatient clinic experience
  • Experience with Cerner EMR system
  • Ability to handle a high patient volume effectively
  • Familiarity with surgical procedures typical for general orthopedic cases

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience
  • Proven track record in orthopedic surgical practice

Other Requirements:
  • Competitive hourly pay rate, with specific rates including malpractice coverage, orientation, holidays, night shifts, and on-call rotations (rates to be confirmed upon application)
  • Availability to start as soon as credentialed, ideally within 90 days or sooner
  • Must be willing to work 2-4 weeks per month, with shifts ranging from 8 hours and extended call duties
  • Credentialing with other facilities is not required
  • No travel arrangements specified; support staff on-site includes MAs, RNs, and administrative personnel
