Job Summary:
We are seeking a BC/BE Trauma Surgeon to join the growing trauma team at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.Qualified Candidates:
- Board Eligible / Board Certified General Surgery with Trauma/ Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Required
- Must have Virginia license or ability to obtain

- Two trauma surgeons per day and night surgeon in-house
- Trauma service covers acute care surgery
- High volume trauma (90% blunt and 10% penetrating)
- 466-bed Level l Trauma Center and Level l Burn Center
- 65-bed Emergency Department
- 12-bed dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department
- 15 operating rooms
- Spacious Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum suites
- Tucker Pavilion – 137 beds dedicated to inpatient acute behavioral health care
- Levinson Heart Institute with four dedicated cardiac ORs, three interventional catheterization and three electrophysiology labs
- 32-bed Medical Surgical ICU, 12-bed Coronary ICU, and 12-bed dedicated CV ICU
