Job Title: Permanent Thoracic Surgeon

Facility Overview: Join a dedicated and experienced team at a leading healthcare system located in Columbus, Ohio. This facility is committed to providing high-quality patient care and is looking to expand its thoracic surgery program to meet the growing demand. The practice environment includes a mix of inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings, supported by state-of-the-art technology and a strong team of pulmonary and critical care physicians.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of thoracic surgery procedures, both benign and malignant, excluding transplantation.
  • Lead efforts to develop the thoracic surgery program and increase surgical volume.
  • Engage in both surgical cases and outpatient visits, with a focus on quality patient care.
  • Participate in weekend call rotation and collaborate with a multidisciplinary tumor board.
  • Utilize the DaVinci Xi robot and other advanced technologies during surgical procedures.
  • Contribute to a consultative hospital service rooted in teamwork and patient-centered care.
  • Work alongside a large referral base and foster relationships with community partners.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years) in Thoracic Surgery.
  • Fellowship-trained in Thoracic Surgery.
  • Current Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain.
  • Active ACLS certification or willingness to obtain.
  • DEA certification or ability to obtain.
  • Clean malpractice and license history.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Ohio Medical License (or in the process of obtaining).
  • ACLS certification (or obtain prior to start).
  • DEA certification (or able to obtain).
