JOB DESCRIPTION:
Medical Center in Texas is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join an affiliated practice. Generous base salary guarantee with wRVU bonuses including sign on, relocation, education stipends, and student loan assistance.
Position highlights:
Bread and butter general surgery with scopes?
Established group with large referral base
10 days/month call (only one weekend/month)
OR block time
Supportive administrative and practice management
HOSPITAL:
Medical Center has just over 150-beds, includes acute care, critical access and behavior health services. A healthcare leader in the community for 65 years, the hospital hosts many services including state-of-the-art diagnostics, therapeutic and rehabilitative services, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Patients have access to advanced technology including a new $1.5 million MRI and Interventional Cath Lab. There is also an 11,500 ft. birthing center with a Level II Nursery, and over 20 other surgical specialties.
In addition, we offer a center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, as well as a Sleep Disorder Center and Home Health services. The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, located at the West Campus, offers both inpatient and outpatient therapy services for those 18 years and older with two distinct units (adult and geropsych) staffed by a team of medical professionals including two psychiatrists.
COMMUNITY:
This area is located 45 minutes to Tyler, and just under 2 hours from both Dallas and Waco, and there is a regional airport with several airlines for convenience. There is seemingly endless outdoor recreation with multiple lakes, trails, hiking, parks, playgrounds, and splash pads.
