Direct Hire General Surgeon Role in Mason City, Iowa
A well-established and growing surgical group in Mason City, IA is seeking a talented and dedicated General Surgeon to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a surgeon looking to work in a collaborative environment offering a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient cases. The group has a reputation for providing high-quality care and a supportive work environment with a solid backing of experienced physicians, PAs, and staff.
Perform a variety of bread-and-butter general surgery procedures and EDG/Colonoscopies
Manage a combination of inpatient and outpatient cases
Work collaboratively with a team of 6 other surgeons, 2 full-time Physician Assistants, and 1 part-time PA
Provide comprehensive care throughout the patient's treatment journey, including pre-operative and post-operative care
Participate in General/Trauma call (1:6)
Engage in patient education, consultations, and follow-up care
Opportunity to invest in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
Qualifications:
BC/BE in General Surgery required
Active and unrestricted license (or ability to obtain a license) to practice in Iowa
Strong in performing general surgery procedures, EGD, and Colonoscopies
Trauma surgery experience is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team
Ability to manage a full schedule and respond promptly to on-call duties
