Job Title: Neurosurgeon

We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a Board-Eligible/Board Certified Neurosurgeon to join our Neurosurgery group in Pueblo, Colorado. This team is committed to providing world-class patient care in a collegial environment, fostering innovation and fresh ideas. Our facility boasts a trauma level of 3 and offers a unique chance to develop a strong elective spine practice in an underserved community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Manage an average of 8 to 12 patients per day, collaborating with PAs for additional patient care.
  • Work a schedule of 2 days in the clinic, 2 days in the OR, and 1 flexible day.
  • Participate in ER call 7 days per month with minimal in-person requirements, including imaging reviews from home.
  • Cover likely one weekend per month as part of call responsibilities.
  • Utilize neuro-navigation tools, including Globus Robot and Stryker, to enhance surgical precision.
  • Document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • Collaborate with an established team of one Neurosurgeon and four experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or TRULY Board Eligible in Neurosurgery through the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS).
  • Commitment to working towards Board Certification within 4 years of eligibility.
  • Experience in managing complex neurosurgery cases is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong focus on patient-centered care.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Colorado medical license or willingness to obtain one.
  • DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
  • Clean malpractice history.
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query report (within 30 days active).
