Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Orthopedic Surgery
Physician for 24-hour locum tenens call coverage in Midland, Michigan. This
role is ideal for a surgeon with expertise in surgical critical care, trauma,
and general surgery. Responsibilities include managing orthopedic fractures,
tendon ruptures, and wound/infection washouts, with no spine work or infected
joint transfers. The physician will handle trauma and general surgery calls,
round on admitted trauma and acute care surgery patients from 9 am to 12 pm on
weekends (patient census 15-20), and respond to Code 1 trauma activations
within 15 minutes at our Level II trauma center.
Qualifications
· Licensure and Certification: Active Michigan medical license, DEA, and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR).
· Certification: Must be board certified or eligible in surgical critical care.
· Basic Life Support (BLS): Current certification required.
· Experience: Proven experience in managing orthopedic fractures, tendon ruptures, and wound/infection washouts in a trauma setting.
