**Locums Cardiovascular Surgery Position in Las Cruces, NM**
**Coverage**

**Requirements**
- Minimum Board Certification: Eligible
- Fellowship: Preferred
- The Following Certifications Are Required: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 45-60 days

**Specialty Skills Required**
- General Surgery including procedures like appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
- Cardiovascular surgery skills, especially with thoracic and abdominal procedures including aneurysm repairs and arterial bypass
- Proficient in both open and laparoscopic techniques
- Additional skills in GI endoscopy, liver surgery, vascular surgery, and plastic surgery
- Experience with pediatric surgical procedures such as surgeries for artesias, abdominal wall defects (gastroschisis, umbilical defects, hernia, omphalocele), and diaphragmatic hernia
**Additional Information**
- Provider will be required to supervise Advanced Practice Providers
- Resident or Teaching Supervision Required
- Locum is for both general and cardiovascular surgery
- The facility is a Level 4 Trauma Center
- Coverage includes both clinic and hospital settings with a schedule of 7 am - 7 am, needing 10 days/month coverage
