General Surgery Inpatient Locums Job in Southern Virginia | One Week per Month

Jackson + Coker is partnered with a facility located in south, central Virginia that needs General Surgery inpatient coverage starting in May 2024 and ongoing through 2024. The facility is seeking a collective 7-days of coverage per month (this must be a consecutive Monday at 7AM - Monday at 7AM stretch) starting as soon as credentialed/March.

Coverage Need:
* Seeking seven consecutive days of coverage/month (Monday - Monday)
* Coverage will be Monday through Friday working in the inpatient setting from 8A - 5P; Will take weeknight call from 5P - 7A
* Will cover one weekend from Friday at 5P - Monday 7A

Details/Requirements for Assignment #101304:
» Active Virginia license and Board Certification required
» Will take 24-hour call (covering 8A-5P in the facility each week day), round on inpatients, consult and perform surgery as needed
» Bread + Butter General Surgery coverage; all skills associated with General Surgery locums coverage required
» No APP support
» Volume averages: 10-15 patients per day each week day, 0-2 new admissions on weeknights, 0-3 new admissions/day on Saturday/Sunday
» EMR: Epic EMR, 150+ bed facility, not a designated trauma center
