We have a client in Petersburg, CA that is looking for a General Surgeon locum.

Coverage Details:
Will start on May 1st! 5-24 hour shifts per month.

Job Details:
Reason for Coverage: Shortage
Practice Setting: Hospital base / 4 hours clinical
Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: based on patients coming into the ER.
Trauma Level/Designation: III
Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
Number of Operating Rooms: 9
Number of General Surgeons in Practice: 4
Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric
Required Procedures:
General Surgical Cases ADULT
General Surgical Cases TRAUMA
Laser Certification
Chest Wall/Pleural Procedures
Central Line Insertion
PA Catheter Placement
Ventilation Management
Chest Tube Insertion
Aneurysm repairs
Abdominal, Peripheral, Vascular Access Devices
AV Shunt
Cholecystectomy
Nissen Fundoplication
Hernioplasty
Upper, Lower, Sigmoidoscopy & Colonoscopy

  • Board Certified (ABOS, AOBOS) - REQUIRED
  • Active VA license - REQUIRED (must be currently active, will not accept providers needing to obtain license)
  • BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED
  • COVID Vaccinated - Preferred; must have by time of credentialing
  • Clean background is preferred
