We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locums General Surgeon with a focus on trauma. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing a broad range of surgical cases, particularly those related to trauma and emergency surgery.

Compensation: $3,000.00 Per Shift


Details:

  • Level II and III Trauma programs.
  • 24 hour call shifts either in hospital or off site call house.
  • Clean Malpractice.
  • Ready to work.
  • No billing/coding

Responsibilities:

  • Perform surgical procedures, with a primary focus on trauma cases, including emergency surgeries.
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative and post-operative care for trauma patients.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in managing various trauma cases, such as abdominal injuries, fractures, and soft tissue injuries.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive trauma care.
  • Be available for on-call duties to promptly respond to emergency surgeries and trauma cases.
  • Participate actively in the development and implementation of trauma protocols.
  • Provide consultations and contribute to interdisciplinary discussions on complex patient cases.
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Trauma: 24-hour in-house call with a 30-minute response time; 7 am - 7 am.

· Other MD/DO Coverage: The other ACS/TRA surgeon.

· APP Coverage: One APP back-up for each ACS/TRA surgeon during the day.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree and completion of a General Surgery residency program.

· Significant experience in trauma surgery, with a focus on emergency and critical care.

· Licensure to practice medicine in the state of California.

· Surgical Critical Care Fellowship NOT required but always preferred.

· General Surgeon with 3+ years of Trauma/Acute Care Experience.

· Board Certified Required in GS/Critical Care.
