Position: Full-Time Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Location: Dothan, Alabama

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our well-established, hospital-employed surgical team in Dothan, Alabama. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a broad range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open-heart surgeries, valve repairs/replacements, coronary artery bypass grafting, and thoracic surgeries.
  • Collaborate closely with cardiology, intensive care, and other specialty teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Lead preoperative assessments and postoperative management of patients.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art facilities, including two endovascular suites, open heart surgical suites, and advanced robotic systems such as the da Vinci.
  • Provide clinical oversight and supervision for advanced practice providers and surgical staff.
  • Participate in on-call duties on a shared basis, approximately every third night and weekend.
  • Contribute to the continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Thoracic Surgery (American Board of Thoracic Surgery or equivalent).
  • Valid medical license to practice in Alabama.
  • Proven experience in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered, high-quality care.
