ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health General Surgery-Washington, located in Washington, North Carolina, are seeking a BE/BC General surgeon to join their growing practice. Applicants should have an interest in growing a community-based general surgery practice. Experienced applicants are preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Hospital privileges at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a 142-bed community hospital and at nearby ECU Health Medical Center, a 974 bed tertiary hospital
  • Established community practice with 3 surgeons sharing call responsibilities and coverage
  • Opportunity for faculty appointment, academic teaching and research collaboration with the Department of Surgery at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine
  • Potential to contribute to the development of a rural surgery residency track with on-site teaching at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital
  • Ideal candidate will perform general and MIS surgery plus upper and lower scopes with training/experience in bariatric surgery.
