Opportunity in Lakewood & Tacoma, WA:

General Surgeon Position:

Franciscan Medical Group seeks an experienced full-time General Surgeon to provide acute surgery coverage at [Register to View] in Lakewood, WA, with an elective practice with clinic at our nearby tertiary hospital, [Register to View] >Joseph Medical Center. In this position, you will provide general surgery coverage in the ED and inpatient setting in a level four (4) trauma center in Lakewood, which is on the south side of the Tacoma Metro Area. Additionally, you will have access to the Da Vinci robot at St. Joseph Medical Center for elective cases.

Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is the Pacific Northwest Division of [Register to View] , one of the largest nonprofit healthcare system in the country with 1000 care sites and 140 hospitals in 23 states. You will be joining a team of over 1200 physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APP) serving the Puget Sound area.

Schedule: Monday-Friday with 1 in 4 shared call duties for St. Clare Hospital and St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Requirements include:

  • Washington State Medical License in good standing with no past/current actions
  • Board Certified (American Board of Surgery)
  • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
  • At least 3 years experience as a surgeon following Residency
