Surgical Group of Johnson City is seeking a general or minimally invasive surgeon to join their established practice located in Johnson City, Tennessee. This opportunity is a ready-made practice to replace a retiring surgeon with the potential for > 800 cases per year. Serving patients throughout Northeast Tennessee, Surgical Group of Johnson City offers the following services:
The Appalachian Highlands consists of three mid-size cities (Bristol, TN/VA, Kingsport, TN, Johnson City, TN). Sullivan County, TN and Washington County, TN combined is roughly 300,000 in population. The area is within driving distance to one half of the US population.
Franklin Woods Community Hospital is an 80-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Johnson City, Tennessee. The state-of-the-art facility offers a wide range of general, medical and surgical services, including minimally invasive surgical procedures using advanced robotic surgical systems. Franklin Woods also provides a family birth center and was the first hospital in the state to earn Perinatal Care Certification from The Joint Commission. The hospital was named one of the nation’s “100 Top Hospitals” by Truven Health Analytics for two years in a row. - Robotic surgery with access to 4 Da Vinci XI robots
- Minimally invasive and open foregut and colon surgery including hiatal hernia and some bariatric surgery
- Upper and lower endoscopy
- Robotic, lap and open hernia surgery
- Bread and butter general surgery
- 5 days unattached ER call/month
- Call cross coverage with another general surgery group
- No trauma
- Market competitive guaranteed base salary
